When is Father's Day?
In Italiy, such as in Spain and Portugal, Father’s day is the 19th of March, a day marked by the calendar as St Joseph's Day.. The date changes United States, where dads are celebrated just more recently, and also in France, Greece, Ireland, Japane and in The Netherlands: here the festivity is marked during the third Sunday of June.
The origin and other curiosities about Father’s day
Fathers have been celebrated on the peninsula since the Middle Ages, the first time the occasion appeared in a manuscript was in the year 800 (in a Gallican Martyrology written by Rheinau). The Catholic Church proclaimed St Jospeph patron of family man in 1871.
